How you all feed your LPS?

Was feeding my prata just now, and, the market prawn was being 'captured' by the tenacles. But it just keep passing ard the market prawn instead of bringing it to the mouth. And after that it just release the prawn away.

When i try to put it into it's mouth, cant really have it 'bite' onto it. The prawn will just float away cos there's current.

hope u bros can teach how to feed LPS with mouth at the centre.

I always off all pumps when I'm feeding the LPS and it's always in the night. I feed them once a week only.

Breakdown of time for my different LPS to finish it's meal.

Prata ~ 15 - 20mins

Bubble ~ 10mins

Frogspawn ~ 20mins

ya i understand, it's just that their feeding habit. they dun grab hold onto the food, making things difficult. how do i make sure they are in feeding mode?i can see their mouth, but they nv bring food into their mouths.

i usually pour in some cyclop-eeze 1st, abt 10 mins before attempting to feed them with prawn meat... their tentacles will be out by then, making it easier for them to grab their food? my problem usually is the 3 naughty cleaner shrimps in my tank will 'steal' the meat away from them so i usually keep watch with a pair of tongs on standby to 'shoo' the cleaner shrimps away.

i didnt off my pump. sum of my prata like adult tht the tenticle will grap it and will swallow and sum like baby tht only know how to grap and dunt know how to eat. so wht i do is tht when the baby grap it, i will use 1 stick and slowly shift the prawn near to the mouth and it will slowly swallow. paiseh to all of my long long story. but bro, i think yur prata shld b hungry cause if not hungry, the tenticle will not ###### out mah.. may b like my baby lor... correct me if i m wrong.. my 2cents

if want to keep ur shrimps away from the corals

use those fish nets to cover up ur coral.

it saves alot of troubles.

i personally feed my corals with cyclop-eeze.

mixed with phytoplankton and formula one marine pellet.

soak the mix into the aquarium water with a cup. use a tablespoon(plastic kind) to crush and soften the pellets.

my Sunny loves it.

Give a small piece of market prawn to your shrimps and they will not disturb your corals while feeding.

guess LPS r best fed with lights off or with blue light on

cus if u notice at nite all e LPS corals stick their tentacles out only at nite unless u feed them...

ermz.. law u say feed ur coral with formula 1 marine pellets

ur corals how many later shitted (spit e brown sticky stuff out)

i guess better cus pellets not so polluting to water

actually, i do that... but... my tank inhabitants are all greedy!! haha... they finished their own food quickly then go hunting for other inhabitant's food!
