Red Sea Two-Band (Amphiprion bicinctus)

The Two-Band Clownfish is a member of the Clarkii complex. They are mustard yellow to rusty orange in color with 2 white bars located on the head and mid-body. There is no band on the base of the large lyre tail. They grow to a maximum size of around 4 inches. A. bicinctus will become territorial as they mature so more than 2 fish per tank is not recommended.

They have a very attractive swimming pattern that makes them look as if they were “bobbing up and down” continuously. This feature has won them a spot among hobbyists of all levels as one of their favorite clownfish.

The Two-Band Clownfish is found in the Red Sea and is rarely seen in the aquarium trade. These fish can live for more than 20 years in captivity.

Mustard-Jewel-Tang (Acanthurus Guttatus)

The Mustard Tang is also well known as the Jewel Tang and is one of the most exotic, rarest and most difficult tangs to find among the aquaria world. This species is unmistakable, Its preserved color is brown; spotted, the white spots are usually bordered with a dark brown color. The Pelvic are fins bright yellow. Each side of the caudal peduncle has a with a single-sharp forward-pointing erectile spine. In the wild occurs at a depth range between 1'' 6 m, inhabits in surge zones of clear seaward reefs, It is mainly oceanic and found schooling in shallow depths over reef flats subject to surge or currents. This particular fish grazes on kelp and calcareous algae. This species usually acclimates quickly to aquarium life, plenty of hiding places and a varied diet is highly recommended. In captivity Tangs are Reef safe and very friendly to other tank-mates.
