Is there a Silicate and DOC Tester

are there any test kits for Silicate and DOC? The reason i asked is I'm getting a lot of brown slime algae and green hairy algae in my tank. the tank is about 6 months old, low LS stock (7 small fishes, blennies, damsel, cardinal). My Nitrate reading is undetectable with 0.1 Phospate. Before I embark on solving the Silicate or DOC problem, is there a way to test them first? :paiseh:

1. Via-Aqua MultiSkimmer - $25.00

2. DIY Kalk Reactor - $25.00

3. Atman Protein Skimmer - $25.00

PM Me if interested.

ur PO4 reading is almost 0 because most of PO4 is already consumed by your GHA. It's may be PO4 problem.

Do u have Phosphate Remover FR in action ? It'll help

Life is like a peice of Uncured Live Rock [ from LFS ], you never know what you gonna get.........

FWIW, most kits for PO4 tests for water soluble phosphate and not organic phosphate... so your GHA takes in the organic PO4... that's why sometimes we just can't figure out how these algae and green algae on the glass walls, etc come from, even when the the PO4 reading is low. Its an indication that nutrients are high for sure.
