Wanted to upgrade my 2feet to 4feet for a long time. Dream finally going to materialise. It arrive last sat 19mar05. Here's some pic of it

I think your LRs is still not enough but I guess you will be adding as you go along.

Anyway, ensure that you fully cycled your tank, you will be amazed by the results you get.

You have to DIY them.

There are good, as stands will prevent dead spots and save some costs of purchasing lots of LR.

DIY.. so as to get the suitable height and width suited for ur tank size.. but for 1.5ft width shld not need so much of eggcrates i guess..

just buy a few more kgs worth of liverocks, place it at the right side of the tank, make it like a pyramid, but height lower than those of ur left, should look good.

For the sump, plan to put a lot more filter wool to act as mechanical filter. And also more coral chips to act as PH buffer (i know it will b nitrate factory) but hopefully the huge amount of wool before it will filter off the poo

do wash ur filter wool frequently and everything shld turn out fine..

Thanks for the advice. I got no choice because my balcony is the only place i can have my fish tank. I have also cover the left side of the tank with black oyama paper. I am planning to get more turbo snails and also increase my tank's flow with more SEIO power head.

But i am afraid i may be overdoing it because people say this is due to new tank syndrome- a lot of new tap water so high phosphate.
