schuran skimmer feedback

thinking of upgrading skimmer and looking at schuran model 150 which is for 1000 ltr.

Need feedback before purchase

Ive seen the 200(same but bigger than 150) in action, best construction i have seen in a skimmer. Performance was also very good for a venturi skimmer.

Cant really say much more without knowing price, maybe compare the price to other types before you decide.

hi ianj, you said performance good for a venturi skimmer...does this mean its good or its jus good when compared with other venturis?

how would you rate its peroformance with needlewheels?

sorry to be asking so much but i haven't really been exposed to seeing the real performance of higher end venturis and needlewheels because each time i go and see either and friend's place or lfs, its so conincidental that they "just washed the cup"

i think bio ocean has 2 models for sale...not too sure which models...

u might wanna take a look there....

this skimmer is really very very well constructed...very solid and perfect workmanship...

Otherwise you can try your luck at AA. They are using Schuran Skimmers to skim their tanks. I believe AA also carry some Schuran Products. Same goes for ML. Cheers!

All i can say is that i was going to buy one, the performance in the UK shop was excellent, from what i remember it spins the water somewhat similar to a Aquamedic 5000 shorty for max contact time, the bubbles were also very fine and consistant. In the end i went for a much larger needlewheel skimmer.
