my elegance tentacles nnot sticky

hi bro and sis.. my elegance that was brought from ML , at first the tentacles was very sticky.. but after 2 week it not expanding and the tentacles is not sticky like be4 le.. anyone noe wad is the problems..

Not many has success in keeping this coral, doesn't look good to me. I have failed 4 times in keeping this coral and will not take further risk.

at first the elegance eat.. but juz now i try feeding.. it stop eating.. but pumping very big.. but it tentacles still very short olso.

Looks to me that it is slowly wasting away, nothing to do with nitrates level. BTW, elegance loves nitrates and not the other way round as they are often found in muddy areas in the sea.

Those who has success with elegance are few and far between, so it depends on your luck as the success rate is very low for keeping this coral.

Mine opened big for a week when I bought it. Now it is still alive but open very small. I fed it with chopped prawns, it makan....I feed it with marinesnow, can see it is feeding. After makan, it opened slightly bigger than back to it small shy self. I tried to change it position, nothing seems to help. Now I just leave it alone and feed it like normal.

I WILL NEVER BUY ELEGANCE AGAIN IN MY LIFE....

i was facing lot of problems when keeping this corals...seems ok for the first few days / weeks...but after that, things goes bad...take out the coral and smell it...if it gives a foul smell...that its man! Will never buy these coral again...really very hard to keep!

I bought one from ML in the same shipment too... its still doing very well... where do you place your elegance? Moderate flow will be good....

mine also same shipment...no problem..only it doesnt open as big as ekia's one...think too little current...cos my elegence tentacles not moving at all..and my nitrate is 0...nv feed before but still healthy

I feed mine once a week ;) Feeding all my LPS once a week anyway :lol:
