Chiller: How to clean heat exchanger tubes?

Hi,

I have just got a 2nd hand chiller from a very nice fellow reefer here. Am thinking of doing some cleaning before plugging the chiller into my current system.

I know that there're many reefers use vinegar mixed water to clean their skimmer, can this method be used with chiller, by running the mixed water through its heat exchanger (coated copper, not titanium) with a small pump (~1500 l/h) too? If yes, what is the mixing ratio?

Anyone done this before? Or are there any better way to clean the heat exchanger?

Your valuable comments/advise/opinion is appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
