Could crabs be the culprit?

Recommended Posts

Could be the crab.. Cos they are opportunistic feeders. They eat anything that is available. How bout the water quality? Nitrate Level? My starfish broke off its legs before dying the last time my nitrate went high.. Hope this helps. :P

yes, its probably the crab.

Want to catch it in action? Know where is your star first, once the lights are all switch off, wait for an hour or even lesser. On the light and you will see the crab biting on to one of the legs of your starfish.

Caught my culprit like this two months ago. Anyway, my starfish died shortly after still.

Saw a crab bite off the leg of my Brittle Star and eating it. Regret buy that crab eventhough it look nice. My Brittle Star is hidding behind the powerhead or on the tank glass wall. And his legs are short nowadays.

Today saw him cutting the edges of my Elephant Ear. Damn Mr Crab :angry::angry:
