Technically, it should be a very huge number that tends toward infinity.

However, my Pri 3 kid rationale is : 1 (numerator) piece of cake to be shared by no one (denominator), hence no one gets the cake = ZERO !! That is how fractions is supposed to be analyzed, right ??

haha... 1 divided by 0 is quite easy to understand... 1 is divided by infinity parts of zeros mah....

wat i always find hard to understand is:

1! = 1

2! = 1 X 2 = 2

3! = 1X2X3 = 6

so y 0! = 1 ??????

since there are no terms to be multiplied in 0!

in n! where n is a constant, all the terms to be multiplied are positive integral values. when n=0 there are no positive integral terms to be multiplied therefore it is 0

that is what I would think but the scientific calculator says otherwise lol. someone explain?

n! = n x (n-1) x (n-2) x (n-3) x .... x 3 x 2 x 1

which means that

1! = 1 x 0!

therefore, 0! = 1! / 1

= 1/1

= 1

Definition - 0! = 1
