just realised there's this white patch on my LR. Damn scared that all my LRs become like that

the above thumbnail should show it quite clearly. the white area i'm referring to is the one "arrowed by blue".

The area circled by red, has white spots on it, will it turn white too? please help!! Am going overseas soon, so need to make sure things don't go too wrong while i'm not around.... thanks brothers and sisters!! :thanks:

williammuk - noppe, it ain't cotton and fluffy like. Its a cured rock... cured in a reefer's tank for more than a yr already.

prec - sure seems like part of the coralline turning white. sure hope the coralline takes it back soon.

shoelevy - i don't have all those test kits. hmm.. maybe i should just go and dose more Mg yea? coz i have that.

any other bros and sis out there with ideas?

Don't dose anything blindly if you do not know the parameters. You may end up overdosing. Best get test kits (accurate ones) to know how much you are lacking and thus can work out how much to dose.

IMO, it looks like coraline is dying off... mostly Ca and Mg deficiency. :)

only have got nitrate and nitrite test kits.... what else should i get? =(

Ca, Mg, Kh and Ph (i suggest get a Ph pen). Depends on your budget... go for salifert if allows as you next time no need to waste more money buying these test kits on suspicion that the "lower end" ones are not accurate.
