Weipro 3000 Power Head

Dear guru,

i am still new, hv a question to ask.... using a 3ft tank & 2ft sump. is it sufficient to use weipro 3000 power head to pump up the water from sump to main tank???

go for a reliable brand...eheim 1260 will do a great job.

3000L/hr should be sufficient for a std 3ft.

it will depends on your height(fr sump to tank) & complexity of the PVC pipe construction.

Normally, the return is actually ard 2200L by the time it enters your main tank.

It is better to get a more reliable, low wattage pump. I find eheim too ex although they might be good brand. Personally i dun go for eheim, nor will i go for nike shoes get wat i mean?

to add on, powerhead are not meant for return from the sump to the main tank

u will spoilt the powerhead sooner than expected

get a water pump instead

I am using weipro 7000 and it's not reliable at all. It sometimes won't work when I try to restart. Will need to shake a bit in order to make the impeller move. Try to go for ehiem if u can afford one or the sicce series.

I am using weipro3000 to run my 2012 weipro skimmer.

so far so good. but I just got it last week.

as for PH, I got another one also need to service too.

once awhile take out n wash. cause got sands get suck in.

whats the difference between a powerhead and a water pump. sorry, too newbie to know the difference leh
