Hey all..

I going to rescape my tank and want to make something innovative... (not one tank just stack to the brim with rocks)

Can anyone give me some tips in rescaping my tank - esp. the design part and the placement of rocks..

It will be even better if i got picture to follow... thanks all!!

Designing rockscape largely if not entirely depends on what you want you tank to be. FOWLF? SPS? LPS? Mixed? Natural? Cliff-hanging? Do you desired it allow your fishes to have more swimming area? Do you want more exposure to the sand area for bottom-dwelling creatures? Do you want the rocks to be away from the glass to facilitate easy glass cleaning? Do you want easy placement of corals at the three levels? I think you get the point here. Rockscape despite being increasing aesthetic neccesary, it more importantly needs to be functionable and maintainable which is also dependable on what are your equipments and husbandry skills. Having to major rescape your tank is no joke when say half year down the road. Also, keep in mind that most corals you buy in LFS comes with rocks already, thus some allowances must be made to it. Scaping that may suit others may not suits you. Take your time to decide what you want it to be and it will comes naturally to you... ;) Happing scaping.
