Banded Brittle Star

Why is my Banded Brittle Star legs got shorter? Is it got cut by my crab? It also not hiding in the LR but stick itself to the tank glass at the top since I introduce my crab? Is it running away from something?

most likely it is. is your tank big enough to place the brittle star on the other end? Crab usually stay around at a familiar spot unless it smells food at the other end

i had one sand shifter star before and its leg got shorter.

later i discovered a crab munching on its leg

so chances are there's a crab in your tank doing this

I don't have hermit crab. I forgot the crab species name when I bot it...it got nice colour, about 1 1/2 inch big. My tank is 3ft. I'll leave them there, see survive longer.
