How to cut glass panel

Anyone know how to cut glass panel? I got a few glass panel(6mm) and intend to cut it into suitable size and make something like a ISO compartment to put my skimmer inside and into the main tank. Or anyone know where in the west area got shop can help to cut glass panel?? Thanks

You can get a glass cutter from the DIY shop... looks very much like a box cutter but with thicker blade. Use it with a long metal ruler to cut as well. After cutting the line, place a small plastic or rubber block below the line and apply light pressure with your hands on glass. Important thing to note is that fresh cut glass edges are very sharp!... I would recommend professional glass cutters. West side I don't know any glass shops but you can ask those framing shops... most of them provide this services as well. Hope this infor helps. ;)

I've seen them cut glass before, basically the just run the cutter along a ruler, then snap it off quite easily... afterwhich they grid it down with one of those knife sharpening blocks my mother used to use...

Looks even easier than cutting acrylic!

ya, roller cutter firmly along a ruler on where you want to cut. then snap it with the edge of the plank which has to be longer than the cut line on the glass. :)
