am currently using one, its a walkie talkie all right, but some places (especially underground like S'pore Recreation Club basement) cannot recieve.

otherwise, you can recieve it anywhere in Singapore.

There is a plan from GRID that lets u make outgoing calls to phone numbers too.

its only good for office lah.

Being a ex-Singtel coporate guy, I feel that it is one of the most underrated and underused product.

Although, I am not from Grid, I feel that the PTT concept helps to save $$$ for organisations and company. :D

Cuz, when you PTT, you need not pay for the conversation unlike normal mobile phones. :yeah:

Thus, you see most companies in the transport companies are using it to communicate their out field people. ;)

I believe the events companies, restaurants and even security companies should tap into this services as compared to using the traditional walkie talkie which have limited range and require line of sight. B)

Previously they only allow organisation and company to register the Grid, not sure if its still the same. ;)

Gouldian, how does it save money actually? because from what i saw from the grid website, we r still paying for the mins that we "talk" like some plans only allow like 50 1-2-1 mins or something. then price of unlimited plans is comparable to that of mobile plans...

Actually the key is to go for unlimited for 1-2-1 for all sets.

And unlimited for 1-2-1 and 1-2-all for the supevisor set.

Thus, as long as you PTT, you will not be charged. :D
