Daily. Lugol's 2 to 3 drops for 500 litres.

Yah lor e bottle say daily but e saleman told me two wks onces as tis brand is more stronger then e other brands.

So u dosing daily or wat???

i think the best measure is to get a test kit and test the water parameters...

yea mann....better have the test kit......i use the salifert kit n tis the most xpensive kit i ever bought

used to dose daily but lucky it didnt go overange....now once in 3 or 4 dayz

Don't bother buying iodine/iodide testkits... you can't measure iodine/iodide accurately

Everyone talking about their habits of dosing iodine.. but seems like on one is talking about the effect of iodine in their tank.

I find that with Iodine dosage, colour of corals is more vibrant.

since the last time i posted in this thread, i've changed from dosing weekly to adopting dosing TM lugol everyday at the advice of some seniors (1drop per 200L)

and from my observation, i must agree with Tigger on colours of corals becoming more vibrant. i noticed this with mushrooms and my jewel. for me, mushrooms showed effect within a week and jewel within 6weeks.

carbon or charcoal??

carbon helps to clarifies the water, remove toxin, remove ordor, metal contents.

but you have to be careful with using it cos some will leach more phosphate into the water.

Iodide/iodine helps your shrimps to molt
