six line will probably eat them if not fed. if you're throwing delicious vitamin enriched food, will they still bother?

use a torch light at night, slow but can do.

here's the link to diy a trap:

yup

that's right

if you feed them good food chances are they won't search for bristle worms

And yeah, six lines though claimed to be reef safe... can develop a liking to shrimps over some time...

That's what happened in my previous 2 footer... my blood shrimp and cleaner became victim to my six line....

All was well for six months... till it happened..

Why the obsession with killing bristleworms?

I have lots in my tank and I'll gladly leave them there.

for me bristleworms does cause problems!!!! one of my clams alway close up once in a while and it gotten worse in the recent weeks.....when i turn the clam upside down, i can see the worms crawling around....but once i h remove these worms the clam start to open up again....

I don't think the worms will kill the clam....but from my expereince, it does seems to cause enough discomfort to my clam that it can close up for an extented period of time......so how even now and then got to hunt and kill them......

oh...also, 6 line doesn't seems to work....and a bit too agressive to my other fishes.....i know becasue i have tried 3 of them in the past!!!!

Last time, i have one branded coral shrimp that always attack bristleworm but it was not so reef safe because i saw with my own eyes that it snip my coral accidentally when it is searching for food. give it away.

Just my opinion.

Now, i have my white xenia snip into pieces and i strongly suspect bristleworm is the culprit. It was drag all the way to its nest (inside star polyp rock). Make a trap beside it and waiting for it to be arrested (sentence -> lifetime imprisonment in my sump):evil:

haha..cute fella.. :D

from my opinion, they normally leaves ur coral & clam alone. Unless they are not doing well then the bristle will start to attack...

i dun know..but there are tonnes of bristle in each live rock (how are you going to eliminate all?) btw they are good tank janitor..

:off:

once i did high salinity dip on my LR... Just afew piece of rocks, ITE caught about 30 bristle worm... some is as long as 15 cm (super gross) ...
