Wow, I've spent the last 10 minutes :shock: my new Ricordea Floridas swallow some mysi shrimps that I fed them with !!!

I've read it before in the web sites that Ricordeas do eat mysi shrimps but to see it in my tank is like 10 times better then seeing it in discovery channel.

Or could be that they are starving after so many days from flying all the way to Singapore. But nevertheless the sight was a joy (minus the frustration of fending off the cleaner shrimp that was trying to snatch the mysi away from the Rics mouth).

I guess I've just joined the Florida Fan Club :pinch:

What I did was to use while feeding my fishes with a frozen cube of shrimps, shake it abit just above the Ricordea hoping some shrimps will float onto them.

The shrimps will "stick" onto the ricordea upon contact of it's sticky "bulbs" and it will start to fold up abit and put the shrimp into it's mouth.

Quite a slow eating process though, like about 5 mins +-
