hi all reefers, im new to this hobby. i have got this problem wat is this plant that grow out by itself??? n can a kole tang eat this plant?? thks...

Hi,

The macro algae in your pic is Caulerpa racemosa. Tangs do eat them. This algae is commonly used in refugiums for nitrate export.

not when they grow out of hand and over populate yr tank.... and u get a marine planted tank!!!

u want to kiil them?Why not try to prune them and give them away.i think emerald crabs can eat them.

yeah make sure u prune them or if they go sexual u might get all the bio matarial back into your tank >.<

Take care when it is showing signs of crashing or going a sexual as it will leech back nitrate and all the bad stuffs into the water. If your fuge light is strong and on 24/7... it will unlikely happen.
