Right, got lots of queries on the Deltec.

The one I purchased did not come with the installation kit. The only extra bit I had was the input with valve from Weileong. I feed it with the return from the chiller, pumpoed through 3 feet head by a eheim 1260. I think after the headloss from the chiller and the elboes, should be approx 1000L as required by the AP850.

The other spare kit was this funny transparent PVC pipe with elbow. I presume is to plumb the output.

The Deltec retails at EAN at $1300 I think.

Haha... bro Acidjazz... I was just kidding hor... don't "quote" me  I am actually eyeing on the APF600 but having an Out-sump Skimmer without a sump doesn't seem viable to me... and after reading this review... I got a feeling I will not be able to go through the tuning part without flooding my parquet floor a couple of times ;)

Anyway I am very happy with the Deltec MCE600 I bought yesterday... very very happy

i still thinking about the deltec 851. . the foam is damn nice. . but my bullet beckett seems to be producing pretty decent waste as well.

Hi Loster,

I just had my Deltec 600, the first 2 days it was doing fine. I fed a pinch on clycopeeze and golden pearl and left for work, when I came back, the whole collection cup was overflowing non stop!!! Why is that so?

My Reefing Mission:-

To manage the waters and lights with efficient resources, disciplined husbandry and prograsive knowledge.

Seet from RD mentioned that Deltec skimmers are super sensitive to clycopeeze. They will skim like crazy whenever that is added to the system so be careful of the quantity you put into the tank.
