my elegant ate my dead crown fish

i didn't notice that my small crown is dead until i saw my pink elegant finished it meal.

Question: will it cause any harm to the elegant coral cos the small crown is too big for it mouth and it is only about 5cm in length. however, it managed to finished up the fish.

aiya...so sorry. it is "clown"...my mind was not thinking straight after i saw elegant finished it full meal. now, it is still fulling open at the otherside throughout the night because i can still see the fish is inside.

Hi bro,

I believe it is not uncommon for the elegance coral to stun fishes and have them as a meal as I've been reading that it's sting is rather potent..

In my opinion I think it's about time you worry about your other fishes rather then the elegance

in fact, my fishes usually won't swim near it...they are smart i guess don't know why my small clown end up there anyway, the elegant must be very happy after it has a good big meal. guess i won't feed it for next 1 week

Yup that's another point I wanted to add..

Usually the fishes know by instinct or experience which corals are safe to swim around and close to...if your clownfish was groggy and went too close then I just have to say natural selection is working right in your tank..
