Haha ... cute.

Yup, Cyclopeeze is a good start to get them interested in food. I also give them some variety such as Henry's Food, frozen brine shimps, etc. :)

Almost every night. ;)

I'm sure you'll be able to achieve it.

The way to encourage Sun Corals to thrive is to feed them -- target feeding is the best.

Let me know if you have anymore queries and I'll do my best to help.

Good luck. :)

Thanks.. I so glad that there's some many bros out there offering their advice and even shared some websites with us.

Thanks!

Will continue to post more pics when there are improvements :)

At the same time, keep those posts coming in ! :thanks:

It is tough when the Sun Coral is deep in the tank which makes it

difficult for you to target feed properly. I feel that this is especially

important in the early stages when the coral may be weak or stressed.

My suggestion ... put it in the sump where you have more control over

the feeding (without having to worry about shrimps/fishies stealing

the food).

Do the feeding routine every night at around the same time. No need

to be lights off. For example, at 8pm every night, squirt a little bit of

Cyclopeeze all around the Sun Coral. Then wait for a few minutes.

If if opens a little more, then squirt more. If not, then wait another

night and try again.

I did the above for a week+ initially. After that, it becomes routine

and the Sun Coral will open at that time waiting for food.

Then you can progress to bigger pieces of food eg. brine/mysid shrimps.

Try it and let us know the results.

If you need further help, maybe I can open my sump as

"Sun Coral Training School" for you guys.

Hmmm ... wonder what kind of fees can I charge for it ...:P

I dun use a sump that house my sun coral. what I do was use a cut up mineral water bottle, cover it and spray cyclopeeze to it. they seems be doing well under this methods but poor me... my hands gets wet everynight. I dun really like it and neither do the fishes.

any bros, any better suggestion?

New pic to share. I added two new sun corals to my tank.

The sun coral on top doesn't seem to be doing well, somehow looks like the 'feelers' are tearing from the main body :(

Although when I first bought them that piece was the first to show potential of opening....

Now hope and pray it doesn't die on me....

The one on the left is my first sun coral, somehow it seems to open for the whole day, extending itself when I add food to the water. :ooh:

Have a nice day everyone :peace:
