Will fishes will trapped during rescape?

Just curious.

Will fishes will trapped in the rocks during rescape of tank?

Or do they have the ability to avoid the rescaping rocks?

most likely, they wun. at most, they will be disorientated for a couple of days.

they should have the ability to detect falling rocks should it fall on them.

but some fishes are dumb. they will swim into the rocks and if you happen to take the rock out, they'll be. more than glad to follow the rock out with it.

Especially bi-colour blenny which likes to hide in holes of the LR, I have experienced this a few times.

yes, they do get trapped when you rescape your tank....so alway observe and do a head count of the fish after the rescaping......

I did a rescape once and my monk tang got trapped, saw its head popping out of a hole and though it was ok....only until night when i couldn't come out the feed then i knew something was wrong - by then it already have scratch mark all over its body from trying to squeeze through holes that are too small, luckly found out early so it didn't die....

on a side note, it has always been a bully in the tank so quite funny to see it staring at the food been eaten by the smaller fishes as i was feeding them....
