Once it stop eating, you can start preparing to scoop it out from the bottom of your tank liao. :cry2::cry:

Sad and cruel but it is true. :(

woh bro , u must be AT specialist...

Ur Avater AT is so nice.. Must be the best AT ard here...

Got any tips to give us>>> :D

wait till u see roidan one. Teardrop lagi bigger

AT not suitable if.....

1. Ur tank is new.

2. Anythin below 150gal.

3. Aggressive tankmates.

4. Inconsistent water parameters.

5. Lousy water condition.

6. Poor water circulation.

7. U lack fish introduction skills resultin in stress.

And the best tip is not to keep ...........>if u nvr practice quarantinin ur newly bought fish. :erm:

btw....point 4, 5 and 5 r reason y AT survival rates r higher in sps tank coz sps reefers r OBESSED with consistent water parameters, ideal water conditions, water movement in tank

Water condition refers to the parameters of water chemistry. No3, calcium hardness etc.

Water Circulation refers the movement of the water within the tank

paiseh....

i saw both words as circulation... heehee... sorry...

i have a funny theory so correct me if i'm wrong.....strong ciruclation is required because AT requires well oxygenated water to do well......

now if we lower our temperature, it would in theory increase the level of Oxygen in the tank....so wouldn't temparture be an important factor to the well being of this beautiful fish?

Although liveaquaria recommended a temp of 72-78F but i m quite skeptical abt their qoute coz AT was also mentioned to be aggressive to other tangs (tat i strongly agreed) but peaceful to other tankmates (no-no  ....my AT bullied angels, moorish idol....etc)

Anyway...back to the temp topics. ;)

If we were to lower the temp too much.....to wat extend?

Take it tat we lowered the temp to 22C =>kinda low for a reef tank rite. And if its a fowlr....kina waste electricity runnin a chiller for fowlr. Also do take into consideration of other fishes frm other parts of the world which may not enjoy chillin out in the tank together with the AT.

A typical reef tank temp here ranges frm 24-27C whereas a fowlr 26-31/2C. Hawaii sea temp is ard 24-30C therefore i find anythin within this range would be acceptable unless u take extreme caution in gettin urs to acclimatizes to the temp u wan.

Good water circulation is not only to perform gases exhange between the water surfaces but also to provide resistance for fishes to swim against. Tats y fishes frm the sea always taste better than those caught in pond or kelong. ;)
