SRC Member supremo Posted September 5, 2003 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 5, 2003 another question. i checked out some LFS near my place (east). i saw some rocks, it looks like those stuff that i see inside the tanks of some members here but LFS keeps them on the floor and is arid dry. are these live rocks? Or are they supposed to be in the water while in the shop. i just thought they mat be conning me in selling an ordinary rock to a noobie like me. and aside from size and shape, is there any rule of the thumb stuff when buying/selecting LR? anything to share? any tips on the rock selection? SRC Member Fireclown Posted September 5, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 5, 2003 I'm gonna get weipro3000 to power my 2014. As of LR, nothing beats the smell test. Good LR should smell like the sea. Bad LR will smell like S**T! You'll definitely know whether is good or bad when you smell it. It should also be covered with coraline growth.
