Help,my feather dust worm drop its crown.Is it dead???Or will it grow back???

As there is no more crown then how will he get food??Undstd it get it food fm its crown feather rite??

Can anyone advise me???Shld i remove it immed or wat???If it is dead,will its tube decay n create a nh4 spike???tks... :thanks:

E onli thing i did tis morn is add in carbonate alkalinity powder to increase my kh....I add too much isit???huh??? <_<
