Anyone stick ur SPS on your tank's glass??

Hi all,

heard some time ago from somewhere ( cant remember where ) that some people actually stick their acros/staghorns on the side glass of the tank to give it a even wider look...

Anyone doing that?? can share??

I have heard of corals beign stuck to the rear glass, and a friend of mine has a stag growing on the glass when it encrusted to it after coming in contact with the glass due to normal growth.

The best thing I have seen is live rock cut in half and stuck to the back glass with silicon to provide a look of greater depth... looks an absolute treat!

Another problem comes to mind... any long term problems we may face?? Will the glass structure suffer any kind iof weakness??

Hm.. will it? because the frag only grows on the surface of the glass and not bore down into it right?

Well, I am thinking of glueing SPS onto my overflow box to camo it

I used to stick frags in my overflow and side glass by leaning an acro against it. Before you fill your tank with water. Sticjk some glass or pieces of plastic across the back wall or overflow so that you have ledges to epoxy your frags later.

Right now I'm leaning my acro branches across the return water pipe so that it grows over it in time.

Tink should be alright for it to be stuck on the glass... will start doing that when I have alot of SPS fighting for space!

I would not worry about any detrimental effects on the glass.

The only worry would be if your frag becomes a huge colony and may be too heavy for the glass to handle(especially if you use thing glass).
