Welcome to the club, Yesterday i register and have so much knowlegde liao from this Cool Forum, Many Nice PPl here who are willing to help newbies like me and you up,

I Did some research, Live rocks contains alot of Diffrenet Creatures, Example, Some contains, bristleworm, corals, etc etc.

First time you place your LR in your tank .. many parts of the rock will start to die of. Dont Get discourage, this is just the cycle starting process. later part example 2 months later.. you will see many many other types of bacteria or stuff growing on it.. and your LR is Now SLR( Super Live Rock)

Dont add in fish like me first.. wait till your Ammonia, No2, No3 is stable and good ph and also Hydrometer stable.

Best Regards,

Giritharan

Haha Same thing happen to my first brother fish tank, the worms from the corals and LR dug them self into the sand. that makes your sand live to .. so you got not only live rock but also Live sand :) Maybe your fish is intelligent enought to eat the worms.. so you can save some $$$$

Hope you did not rinse ur LR with tap water, that will kill some of the stuff on ur LR,

possibly causing the die off (white stuff).

Cheers

Last few days brought a LR from LFS. All the LR that are selling are in the marine tank set-up.

Does that means that if i buy one from the tank i can put it inside my pre-prepare marine tank set-up ? Or after adding the LR, my tank start the cycling process!

Giri.... once ur NO2 beginning to drop its time for u to go buy the NO3 kit and test ...

Advice...Dun type in LFS name .. use censor... e.g, "R@i@b@w" to cover ur arse.. oops.. :D

all the kit mentioned is suitable for beginner... u may need to get more kits in future...
