Need help on my Plate...

Arg....my precious got suck in the powerhead till i got home and see that the plate is lifted up by the powerhead... the suction caps when loose and the whole powerhead drop and landed ###### my plate....now half of the tenticles is left only..the other is skelton or cant be seen....so what should i do now?? to make sure it recovers?

Sorry to hear about the accident.

In my opinion, I think this is what I'd do:

- Put the plate in low light area. Maybe in the sump even. Monitor it closely and hope that it recovers. If more and more of the flesh starts dissolving, then it might be best to discard the coral before it pollutes your tank.

- Remove and clean powerhead. Make sure there are no remnants of the plate's flesh still stuck to it before putting it back into your tank.

hmm...there is nothing being sucked up and stucked in the powerhead as the plate jus srink and so the skelton is expossed only.. but hope it does recovers..Thanks anw
