SRC Member Tigger Posted February 4, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted February 4, 2005 Hi All, I will be going on a biz trip in 3 weeks time to USA. I will be in San Jose, (US office is at Melphitas area). I would like to ask if anybody have been to this area and can recommend me a hotel with a budget of less than US200 per day. The hotel must include daily breakfast. The last time I stay at Crowne plaza hotel and it sucks. There is no cable TV and breakfast is not included too. End up I have to fork out extra $$ for breakfast. Thanks alot. Rgds-Tig
SRC Member yazid Posted February 4, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted February 4, 2005 Try Western Inn. Got cable... I watch EPL match there. Don't miss San Jose Flea Market on Sat/Sun. Great America theme park will be a fun place (I would recommend Top Gun ride). Santa Cruz Boardwalk is also a fabulous theme park (although is still chill but may see some crazy people sun bathing topless) Of course don't go to the ###### beach unless you want to see fat, ugly people in there. There are more places to visit. Let me know if you have more time to spare.

SRC Member flubberina13 Posted February 9, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted February 9, 2005 If you drive, try going to the Chelsea outlets, they having President's Day sales. There's one at San Jose and the Petaluma one also not bad. There's certain offers when you purchase above an amount like additional discounts. Embassy or Ameri suites really not bad if on company account otherwise Motel 8 serves your function too. Just remember dun get the ones too near rail tracks and airports. You wun be able to sleep then... Anyway, try joining some webbies like expedia.com, orbitz.com etc...their rates may be even cheaper sometimes. enjoy your trip... BTW...remember to get the model number of any Coach bag that your wifey fancies, otherwise she will 'scream' at you for not getting for her...
