bicolor dottyback aggressive?

Recommended Posts

Planning to get bicolour dottyback,

wondering will it bully my clowns, featherduster, blue tang and cleaner shrimp.

anyone here have bicolor dottyback??

They are one of the most aggressive dotty around. ;)

Super fearless, even dare to attack fishes 2 to 3 times its size.

better avoid dottyback. had one in the past and it nip my other fish. Unless you have a small cave and half a feet cubic space at one quiet corner to let it claim its own teritory. They make bad bad neighbours...

Agreed, scrappy fish, for better looking one get a royal gramma instead.

if ur tank is large, can consider... if small then any fish smaller than it's own size it will attack... as it attacks fishes that goes into its teritories, will attack small size shrimps as well....

if u wan it, it's gonna be the last fish to be put into ur collection but be vigilant bout ur cleaner ;)

this is the most irritating small fish i've ever added into my tank!

eventually it died.. :erm: tried to catch it everyday since it was attacking my purple tang until the fins all torn! <_<

i think it died due to stress la everyday i try to catch, rearrange rocks in it's territory.. and wierd, when it died, the purple tang was actually circling the fella's carcass.. revenge maybe..
