Those R nerites.i have tried them before

but they often crawl out of the waterline.

They are out of water when I found them. But I am not sure if they really are nerites. Couldn't believe my luck. Found them at the shoreline during low tide. :D

Can anyone recommend an URL to read more on nerites? There are different types of nerites, correct? :thanks:

MC: what is SUAY HONG?

Neritids-Nerites: Nerita, Neritina and Puperita species

They are peaceful utility in refugiums and tidal displays. For home aquariums, better to avoid certain specimens esp those like yours, I believe as they are found on shore, these species are intertidal, that means they need and desire air exposure, they literally will crawl out of your aquarium and wait for the tidal wave to bring them back to the sea again, as there is no tidal wave in your aquarium, they will die. they are herbivores, like tending to nuisance algae om desirable plants and often found among seagrass and shallow shores, you can do further search in the net by using the names above.
