Hi bro,

From your pix, I think you have gotten a Sandperch Parapercis .sp. They are elongated fishes with long continuous dorsal fin, long ###### fin, large mouths with thick lips, small scales, complete leteral lines, and truncate to emarginate tail. Denthic carnivores of small invertebrates and fishes that can be fitted into its mouth. Territorial and haremic.

If you are thinking of having small fishes and shrimps then you better get it out. ;)

Bro, better keep a look out the next couple of days (better safe than sorry), especially the Signal Gobies - they can just about fit into the Sandperch's mouth. ;)

If you notice them missing, you will have to act fast liao. :D

I really hope not man.

I could not judge the size of both of them through your photos, I can only guess.

Reading from some literatures, the sandperches are bottom feeders of small invertebrates and fishes, I surmise that the highest risk LS in your tank are your signal gobies.

Anyway, hope that all is fine. ;)

my longnose hawkfish just grabbed a pistol shrimp and shred it into pieces before swallowing the parts.. great job!!!

my sandperch eats like a pig now.. even steals food from my corals.. <_<
