I find Canon cameras suitable for those not looking for complicated features, captures decent colour and user friendly. For macro photos, u need to get a tripod as well.

Not many camera below 500.... unless ard 3mega pixel... ard 570+ can get you a 5 megal pixel sony camera

yes, can tk macro shots, but can't find this cam in retail shops anymore.

no matter whether u take 730 or 750, if u want nice macro shots, be prepared to invest in either a expensive macro len or get some cheap stepup adapter + some closeup lens. I recommended the latter though.

Brand wise I do advise on canon for it's vivid color.
