Would u pay >200 for a super-grade/ultra maxima ?

Was desparately looking around for good clams but cant find them anymore.

None of the LFS wants to bring them in coz they think with the current situation, it will probably coz >200 and singapore market too small.

Just wonder if anyone bros here is willing to pay that type of prices these days ?

imho..most fish shops r reluctant to bring in the expensive stuff cos they always end up being stuck with em. Most people go round looking n asking, but many end up not buying or at most buy 1 piece/frag.

wow, 200 pieces ??? So far, the score is 9, and even if each of these 9 bros get 2 pieces, we are still a far way off.

do u know any shop who will risk it by bringing in maybe 40-50 pieces ?

You guys in S'pore have pretty nice clams out there, you're also paying much less in average than what ppl in America pays, and thats probably due to lower freight costs.

200S$ per an Ultra Max is a fair price if the clam is really nice.

I'd pay much more for the mega clams , for example a Blue Squamosa.

When I visit S'pore I always see some world class quality clams.

200 bulks for an ultra was the price we pay for it when ultra is brought in. Somehow, its lost its popularity. Thus if u ask me, 200 is a reaosnable price to pay for an ultra.

Too me, 200 is a fair price if the clam can last for 5-10 years. Unfortunately, I don't seems to have luck keeping clam for long term. Heard that they need high KH and Cal to thrive. So I'm not doing to pour 200 down the drain.

not much luck.. I managed to keep a gaint for slightly more than 2 years before I did something stupic and it die.
