My pair purchased at CF more than a year ago for S$98.

One jumped out & the other got stressed by other clowns and died.

Nice pair! Too bad they're gone....They would be at least $250 nowadays <_<:(

Might take some time for clowns to pair up... Especially those aggressive ones... Like maroon, tomato, true perc... I find false perc, brown saddle-back are easy to pair than others and can be kept in small group with a dominant female... :off:

3 digit may be 4? pardon me. did i see it correctly? hell nuts, thats insane. thats like chop chop chop.

i understand those are unit and gorgeous but... the price, too high man. maybe about 100 still can consider. well... different people, differernt point of view. so cant comment much about it.

anyway, i got my 2 fasle very orange clownfish that bought somewhere in jurong last year. One is bigger than the other. At first, the bigger one always chase the smaller one away and not sharing the anemone. At first im very worried but after a while, like a week or 2, they are always swimming around together. Its been a year in my 2 feet now, both of them seem like always doing the same thing together.

well, just a reference for others :peace:

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

if you were to see a rare specimen of something that you like, you'll obviously fork out any amount of money for it.

simple economics. demand supply curve. supply is low, but demand is high for such exotic looking pieces, therefore there is justification to jack up the prices if need be.

also, I'm pretty sure the effort taken by the folks who catch the fish, especially those of rare colourations/sizings/patterns, it is entirely justifiable.

if you were to work your butt off for a massive project, only to be paid with peanuts after that, wouldn't you feel like becoming an arsonist for a whee bit and burn the bugger down?

I think cost is irrelevant in the price equation when it comes to rare or unique items, fishes included.

Imagine if you still have stacks of those pre-WW2 Japanese Yen (used to be called 'banana notes') used in Singapore..........cost is peanuts but you know how much it is worth to collectors now ? Price worth is in the eyes of the beholder ;) .

Ooopps. now you know how old I am  .
