Cut off the end to remove the root hairs and base then peel off the dry layers and rinse it to get rid of pesticide if any...

lol, me too! seems like i can only get it at other more less common supermarkets. BTW, quite strange that the nori have different colours.

But the nicely packed ones are drier, more absorbic. Just like kortex and some unknown brand, which will you choose?

AT, you better set up an online nori store to meet up with the demads. Seems like someone out there is keeping 3000 tangs and bought all the nori for himself.

How to look for it? Those 'aunties' & 'uncles' in the common wet markets don't know what 'Nori' is.

Anyone, know how to say it in Mandarin? or 'Hokkien'?

I cut the dried nori into tiny bits, then soak it in alittle tank water together with alot of garlic guard and kent zoecon. Feed the next day and it will not float anymore. Keep refrigerated.

Soak then refigerate when not using! Nori = seaweed = zi chai

Buy those for cooking soup use, not snacks, snacks have flavourings/preservatives which will harm your fish
