roidan
ya..but u must be careful also..because this fish is very very shy and likes the rocks.....some take the easier way out by using cyanide Quote Advanced Aquarist (March05)

Asfur
Roidan is right, the most possible cause this fish is not survive long in captive is because the method of capturing this fish. In nature this fish live (most) in deep water and never swim far from nook or crevices, so logically this fish is "very very very" hard to capture and not so easy available in the market, especially if ready in lots of quantity. To keep this fish, you must provide lots of live rock and crevice to duplicate it's nature habit.
roidan
ya..that's why if you see the shipment come in with quite a NUMBER of pieces...you should know why...as asfur have said... if out of the whole shipment only come 1 piece and you know that this lfs's supplier has not been shipping golden angels often...then maybe you can take a gamble. (yes, it helps if you have been keeping track of the lfs stocks regularly ) if the extent of cyanide poisoning is not too serious, the fish may be able to recover....however slim the chance may be..... and another thing as in buying all fishes, look for clear eyes, alert to the surroundings, no body damage, no heavy breathing, good swimming posture and so on.... and there is another thing about dwarfs....if it is easy for you to drop in the net and net it out almost effortlessly, then most probably it's a goner anyway... they should be very hard to catch as they are very nimble and agile in nature... buying a good fish does not only entail having enough dough in the wallet and bringing the catch home Quote Advanced Aquarist (March05)
bwilly
I just got my 3rd lemon peel in reefing.. sometimes difficult when its cage upz lohz.. I can only see the eyes whether its alert to the surrounding n looks nimble (enuff in the cage). Its a risk we got to take lohz..
