bro,

its not nice to do a photo comparisons without giving other details involving the age of the tubes, whether same kind of ballast are used etc etc.

If you are serious in doing a review or a comparison, do it properly. not just by putting the price for other reefers to see.

that's funny.

As you can see, all 4 T5 are fixed into same set of T5 lighting of cuz the ballasts are the same ;)

All T5 bulbs are new as i just purcased them.

Picture says thousands words..reefers can see ;)

Wat r u comparing bro?

If it's colours that you are comparing, I understand that for Dazs, the white bulb is a 13,000KK while the Aquaz is a 20,000KK?? Dat's unfair comparison.... IMHO, you should use two bulbs with similar if not the same kelvin values to do the comparision....

You are like comparing American apples with Thai Apples...:blink::blink:

If it's price, den hands down, the Dazs is so much cheaper!!!

Back to this thread after using so far.

I must say Dazs T5 tube is GOOD GOOD GOOD, excellent!!!! worth every little single cents!!!

About bro Rav65 comment, well I don't really agree with what you said.

Firstly are you trying to imply that Dazs is "Thai" and AquaZ is "Americans"? Does it mean that more expensive item must be from a better developed country?

As far as I see, both product do not state their country of origin. If you are merely using their price to determine where they are made from, then I would think that you are very wrong.

And, take a look at the packaging. Dazs got its properly, well protected and nicely printed packaging. It shows how serious the company is into marketing its product. Investment, time and effort has been made. It seems to me that this is going to be a long term kind of product and not "hit and run" type. I am not trying to flame the other company but just feel unjustifiable for a product to be consider as lower class just because of its resonable and honest pricing.

Only u know if they are of the same T5 set, same age and all...

cos u did not bother to input all the neccessary infomation.

No representatives from the 'other' company commented any thing on considering a company/product as lower class just because of its resonable and honest pricing.

If you wanna do a review, pls do not be biased against another company/product.

Else, its quite clear for all others to see.

I'm sure many reefers will agree with me that your review lacks the vital stats and information to support anything.

just my 2 cents worth.

Yah, I agree with diabolus. You sounded rather biase. Furthermore, rav is trying to say that to compare both T5s. You need to have the same kelvin ratings. You can't compare using 13kk and 20kk and says that one is brighter than the other. The best way to compare is the use a lux meter.

13kk and 20kk white what is the different?

I thought the higher the K the whiter it will be? why is 13kk in this case whiter than 20kk.

is the T5 tube KK same as MH tube KK??

by the way where is the Dazs light from? The price is really worth to give it a try.

No the higher the kelvin, the more blue is the colour.

Price wise Daz wins hands down but to do a proper comparison, you need to a have a lot more info, like lumens etc. Some tubes lose a lot of intensity after a few months use, atinic turning white etc, to do a comparison will take a lot of effort and time and not just on the surface othewise you are not doing justice to the other brand.

Time will tell if more reefers uses Daz and give their feedback to us here.

Bro Ryan is only making comparison of the brightness between the 2 brands he had bought which has quite a bit of price differ but certain "regular grouped" supporters got so offended and become over defensive. <_<

Even being the sponser here got nothing to say about it, why bother man brothers, peace!!!

Don't make the forum so political brothers, come on :heh:

IMO, we should refrain from posting this kind of information if we do not have at least some sort of scientific reading like lux meter reading or spectra analysis to back us up....it is very irresposible to just post a picture and then claim then 1 is brighter then the other....your camera will have some sort of filter that will filter out wavelenght differently so because their kelvin is different a picture like that does not mean anything.....take a simple case of selling SPS by publishing a photo online.....you will realise that what you see in person and what you see on the picture are entirely different!

I have also brought the bulbs of the same configuration as you and do my own testing - but i would not make any comments because i know my results are subjective and not back by any hard evidence.....

PS: You do know that Daz will be priced differently in the next round, lets just hope its price will still remains as competitive and what we had seen was just a 'loss leader'....you might then have to do another round of review......;)

I agree with Tineng! ;)

Very hard to do comparison just by one photo.
