it is a 3 ft tank. after putting in the rocks and sand, needed to put in about 215 litres of water. my is a fish and live rock tank. currently the fishes in the tank are as follows:

1 brown tang

1 yellow tang

1 clown tang

3 blue damsels

1 tomato clown

1 pearl angel

1 flame angel

1 lemon peel angel

I do a 10% change of water every 3 months.

do not intend to add any more fishes unless anyone of them dies on me.

given the above, so i still need a protein skimmer?

:thanks:

I think you change the water too infrequently and moreover you dun have a skimmer. With the excretion and wastes produced by your number of fishes, there may be a spike in the near future.

Invest in one. Not expensive for a 3 feet tank. I got mine less than $20.
