I am purchasing a new tank, 84"long 36"wide 31" deep, I need to tell the tank company where to drill the holes. It is a free standing tank visible on all 4 sides, will have one overflow box on left. would like some sps and lps. Is there any info on this or people with a tank similar size that can shed some insight on location and pump size. Have neptune controler for timer and would like to have 2 pumps on the closed portion that alternate on. and one main pump, any suggestions on size.

I have a 3ft deep tank, and even with a 5" sandbed, I have to balance myself on my tummy to reach the bottom, and sometime with a tong or goggles. so looks like my hands are pretty short too :))

I think u will have a wonderful tank, just got to make sure that the carbinet is made rite. I have to ask the carpenter to reinforce my carbinet 1 year after the tank is running. The weight is going to be very heavy. Chengai wood is best and I think u should insist on a good carpenter using good thick wood. Else, it may cause problem when rein-forceing

I am using 15mm glass. This is in case it cracks [especially if the cabinet is not sturdy and warpped the glass]. 4 years back, I had a cracked tank and my heart went down the drain.

I recalled seeing a similar design tank in a tank maker show room some time back, somewhere in Tagore Lane. Sorry forgot the name liow, nor whether they still there or not. It is somewhere near the 2nd hand car dealers area.

You may want to go take a look and get some ideas.
