Many type of anthias in one tank

Currently, I have 1 lyretail male, 4 lyretail female, 1 dispar male, 1 dispar female. 3 purple queen, 1 fathead anthias.

I feel that having a mix of anthias is more colorful and nicer than one school of same type of anthias.

However, the question is, will I run into problem with agression? I'm quite new to Anthias, so all comments and suggestions are welcomed.

Best Regards,

Patrick

Yes, some anthias are very aggressive, to each other more so than other species. But if the colouration is very similar... they will also harass.

I think you can forget about the purple queens, beautiful but impossible to keep long term. They are very finicky eaters.

These beautiful creatures should not be mixed but not impossible. Some species are more tolerant of each other.....eg Fathead (most shy), dispars (not shy and not agressive), Sunset (same as dispar). Avoid bi-colour, tri-colour, truncate (very agressive), barlett (also agressive). Very dificult to keep due to feeding problem (Purple Queen, Evansi, Squarespot).

Hope that helps

I think (marine) therefore I am
