Suitable corals for high current, high light area

Hi all,

I have a 45cm cube tank, with mainly leathers, buttons and mushrooms.

There is a spot which is next to the outlet of my pump which i want to add a coral. However, i had been searching for info. from various sites and could draw no ideas.

I had considered SPS but I'm afraid the leathers might engage it in a chemical war.

Please give me some suggestions. :D

thanks a lot.

Hi, some read up for you on sps:

You can also consider LPS to start off first.

Thanks 35cents :thanks::D ,

I have a plate coral, a tongue coral and a green jewel too.

I prefer LPS too, as they seem easier to keep. However, i cannot find any information of any that can take high light and high current other than leathers. :( My knowledge about corals is very basic.

Some of my equipment used.... hope this can help.

tank: LWH: 50cm X 40cm X 45cm (approximately)

skimmer: Weipro 2012 run by atman 105

Lights: 2 x36W PL and one 15W FL... getting one more PL set next month.

Powerhead: Otto 400

and a Profetec Fan.

:thanks:

You using PC may not be enough for sps (depend on the high you place them).

Thanks to all for the suggestions! :D

due to my small tank, i face space constraints and i doubt my tank can handle SPS at this point in time.

here;s a blur pic for my tank... keeping the area on the top left for a suitable coral when time comes. :D

keep your suggestions coming. B):thanks:
