I notice you use a Sony DSC S75 and Nikon Coolpix 5000. From your pix, I seem more impress with the performance of your Sony but then again, there wasn't any outdoor shots for the Coolpix 5K. IYO, which do you prefer actually?

Is the focusing for the Nikon fast and sure? I heard its quite slow to get a lock on but I guess at 5 mega pixels and jammed packed with features, who cares.

I like the picture entitled "The Tube". Think is kinda unique. It would look much better without the blurred person standing there though. When I look at the pix, I was like drawn to both almost instantenously. Its as though the person and train were competing for attention. Nevertheless, very original piece indeed.

Did you attach some wide angle lens to your d.cam when taking the Museum Library? The coverage seems quite good.

How long did you spend on that helicopter doing the night scene of New York?

Saw your tank too. Your ETSS Skimmer is impressive. What's driving it...the IWAKI? Are your VHO tubes really so reddish or is it just the picture? Boy, 2X400watt Blueline + 3X110watt VHOs...you have a lot of lights going for a 4 footer. Must be a sucker for electricity...

Theres a bright red coral in your tank. Sure doesn't look like a chilli. What's that?

Also noticed you have very little fishes. I can count 2 clowns and I PT! Any others around?

I prefer my Sony. More user friendly than Nikon. Both are about the same size but the Sony is more ergonomic and has a better user-machine interface. The Nikon beats the Sony in megapixel but I hardly require that level of resolution anyway. Sony Memory Stick is a faster media also, whereas for the Nikon which uses a compact flash, you must wait a while for the picture to write to memory.

The Nikon is faster than the Sony in focusing. Sony gives a richer colour than Nikon. The Nikon is in Singapore but the Sony is with me in UK, so all of the tank shots will be made by Nikon.

The Tube was quite a random shot. I was waiting for the train and was bored so I took a shot and it turned out not too bad. I suppose I could chop the person out and resize the picture. The whole idea was to contrast the moving train and people to the stationery platform with "Mind the Gap". Thanx for the critique, I'm hardly even a amateur. I just shoot for fun!

No lens were attached for any of the wide-angle shots. I was very close to the lion.

The New York shot was taken from my hotel room. No helicopter was hurt in the making of that picture.

The ETSS is driven by the Iwaki. VHO is not that red but the Nikon always has some blue problem or that it filters out blue digitally. The Blueline colour was capture quite accurately though. I think actinic light is actually purple/violet and not blue light. I'm using only Ushio now, the Blueline has been retired due to lousy colour. VHO removed due to heat but might be replaced when I get home.

The red/magenta coral is Distichophora spp. a kind of fire coral. It is ahermatypic and require feeding to stay alive. It was a wrong move so I left it alone, hoping that it will die but surprisingly, it seems to be doing well in my tank. I won't recommend keeping this coral.

I keep only 3 fish to add movement and something to feed. I intend to keep SPS so I'll rather have less fish and less problem. The tank is empty because I can't find enough SPS to populate it, so I'll have to wait till the acropora grow enough to be fragged.
