Last time when i have the pyramids snail problem.. i check the clams at any time any day.. i remove any that i can see with hand or witha tweezers.... den if i know a certain clam is infected i will dip it with FW, den continue to monitor it den continue the dipping cycle till the clam is free of snail for sometime.... Once the clam is free of snails, i will prolong the dipping cycle (for example 2 times a week to once every 2 week).... check on the clam will also be not so regular as continue flipping the clam up to see the snail may stress it if done to regularly.... den if i every spot the snail again, back to step 1... continue doing this till no more snail is present.. Oh ya employ a leopard wrasse to help you pick off the tiny ones that are hadr to see.....

Yeah but be warn leopard wrasse are very poor traveller... they die from shock easy and not easy to acclimitize... Oh ya not easy to feed them too(well not really need to feed when their duty is to eat snails) ....

DA, I believe the 6-line wrasse and yellow coris will also be useful in this situation. Better yet, have all 3 in the tank! I am sure the snail problem will be taken care of. Multi-prong approach is always the best way. ;)

six liner diet is quite diverse so they may not go for the snail.. instead they may target easy food like crabs, snail or the food you feed :lol: Six liner is too aggressive once established... catching a six liner out is even worst....

Yellow coris is even a poorer shipper than leopard.... They grow much bigger than leopard if i am not wrong.... May attack your shrimp if get too big

leopard is BEAUTIFUL with its body patterns... diet is rather specify(pyramid snail of course) and dun get too big

Issit easy to get Leopard wrasses from the local LFS? Seasonal or always there kinda LS?

I would say ok lah... not really seasonal but sometime you want to find it for your clam, you cannot fid it.. weid.. always when you need something the most you cannot find it, but other time when you dun need it, you see it all the time :lol: but most philippine shipment should have... Poor traveller and quite a few may not make it when arrive to the lfs... If you can ever find one that is eating well and in some place for sometime , get it an you wun regret
