Help, Skimmer Settings

Hi, Just got a weipro 2011 and a sicce extrema pump. However, when I hook up the skimmer, the water just overflow in the skimmer, I have tried turning the water valve open, but still overflow...

There is no user guide....

HMmmm... how can that be possible? open already still overflow? you mean your outflow pipe is completely stuck? does any water empty from there at all?

Yes, water is flowing from the output pipe. I even remove the sponge from the outlet pipe to improve flow...

I am using a sicce extrema : 2500 l/h given as specs

Anyway was recommended by the LFS.

What is the capacity of pump recommended by Weipro? As in the instruction manuals? As far as I know, some HK website suggests 2500l/hr pumps for 2012.

If your output valve is completely open and you can verify that there is no obstruction anywhere, odds are your pump is too strong for it?

You can adjust the output for SICCE Extrema, try lowering it.

The instruction states that you should use a pump rated at 300g/H...that would be roughly 1200L/H.....Maybe 2500L/H is an overkill.

Think ur pump too strong already... try to change the pump.... inter-switch with ur other pumps.... if not, think u hav to buy another pump that is not so powerful....

The output of your Sicce Extrema pump can be adjusted - just turn the big "knob" in front of the pump to lower the water rate.

weipro should be overdriven instead of the recommended pump pressure i feel..i am using extrema on my 2012 and i am quite happy with the foam leh...

anyway, 2012 is for tank size 100 gallons, pump capacity 400gallons per hour to be used...according to the box...

but my tank is only 30 gallons at most and my pump is pushing much more than the recommended pump pressure...
