is clown trigger harmful to corals ?

if I have a tomato clown and green chromis, can I just leave the mantis shrimp alone ?

you add clown trigger in your tank and you can say bye bye to most fish....

you can try making a trap to see if it will work. here's the link:

http://saltaquarium.about.com/library/weekly/aa012800d.htm

sometimes it could be just pistol shrimp. If you hear one to two popping or clicking sounds at any a time, mostly its a pistol. But if the sound is quite continous and varies, and that you have alot of missing snail/fish/inverts, then maybe its a mantis. Do observe.

I read from the net that sometimes clownfish make noise too.

... mmm i dun know too, dun fire me....

Anybody wants to share??

help!!! even my yellow tail damsel is gone now. does anyone have a trap that has proven itself... lend me pls!!! =) :D

the only trap for a mantis.... take out the LR u consperm... i mean confirm that the mantis is in.... flush the rock with FW untill the mantis comes out.... or soak the rock in a pail of water untill the mantis comes out....

dun think the coke bottle or chicken essence method will work as mantis can swim unlike yr crabs....

me too hear cliking noise after light off. and my YT fin is broken, but other fish is doing fine. can the broken fin cause by the mantis :o

mantis is not likely to cause broken fins/tails....

they always aim at the body of the fish... unlikely to miss....

i kept mantis before.. and i fed them 1 dollar damsels... thats why i know....

unless yr fish is super fast... the Incredibles boy lidat.... then maybe.... kena fin only...

broken fins/tails.... proberly some other fish ka chiao..... maybe u observe yr tank abit after lights off.... maybe a good 30 mins to 1 hour to see properly....

Just to share ;)

This is how i caught my mantis last time. Frankly, this mantis is friendly and did not harm anything in my tank but the sound is too loud that make me fear that it might go mad and do some  . Left it in my sump.

I put small prawn meat inside the contianer and after two days, it was caught.

good luck
