i got an offer for oversea 3days 2 nte dive at tioman.....................

ard 490 bucks

including lodging and meal.......

3d2n meaning departing on Fri and coming back on Sun. Usually, food, lodging and boat transfer and transport are included in the package... Pls find out what u are paying for... some places quote u one price but does not include the diving equipment rental of BC and Regs and even basic gear, which means that u might have to pay more than $490

I think wat hammerhd means is that, are they GIVING u the dive manual (course book), dive table? Usually dive logbook will be issued, so, that is the least of worries.

From the looks of it, i seriously doubt they are GIVING u the course book but only loaning u.

Like hammer head said, does it includes gear rental ?

(Some charge separately) and books . that will make the different in the bargain...

errmmm.. your whole course is going to be conducted overseas?? no pool lesson prior?

personally, i dont think that's a good idea unless the whole dive group consist of open water students only. Otherwise, open water students will find the while the other recreational divers can do 5-6 dives for the weekend trip, open water students normally only do 3-4. Price wise, we had seen a lot of price slashing during the last dive season, and as many have pointed out, MAY mean lower standards. So, its possible to get a cheaper rate, but 490 is a reasonable price if the standard is there.

For Open Water course, usually have 4 open water dives.

If everythings are inclusive, then the price is reasonable market rates.
