Feeding Corals?

Hi guys,

I am trying to feed my corals (Plate, Jewels, Prata, elephant ear, etc etc) with prawns as recommended by the LFS.

I just want to know what the procedures. Just afriad that the LFS might teaches me the wrong stuffs....May someone enlightend me on these issues.

this is wat i do,

thaw the prawn(cut into small cubes)

give a pc each to my 2 CS

take my long chopsticks(those use for cooking-more than a feet long) take a pc of prawn and hold it near the coral's mouth, then place it on top of the mouth.

I thought jewel is filter feeder with phytoplankton? They may feed on prawns but very very small tiny pieces....

and I use cooking wanton mee long chop stick to feed them as well...

Each time I try to feeed my corals prawns and stuff, fishes will come and disturb.

pretty frustrating.

feed the corals at night.... most lps shld accept food at night....

then feed ur shrimp b4 feeding ur corals....

OIC....ya...will try that ...how aby elephant ear? How to feed? Put near it mouth...but nothing happen.....and for shrimp, we must feed maually meh? I have one cleaner shrimp and just passed away...dun noe why also, water parameters all ok...except nitrate too high...around 20. my wrasse and sand shifter all passed away too....

the reason why we feed the CS first is because they will snatch the food from the corals. if you give them a pc of meat, they will happily retreat to their "home" to eat and not disturb the corals.
