Finally upgraded from my HP Jordana.... to my new XDAII Mini!

It's so cool.... (till the next better PDA phone!)

For Alfaromeo... what kind of mini review do you want? :)

Form factor: Same thickness as Nokia 6610. Slightly narrower than 6600. It's similar in size with an Ipod mini!

Pros: Solid feel... metal casing instead of plastic like my Jordana...

Cons: You get paranoid about scratching the beautiful exterior... thinking of getting a silicon sleeve... which hides the beauty of this unit.

Pros: Love it because the size is very much like a handphone.... unlike a typical PDA like my old Jordana, which you can't really slip into a tight pocket.

Screen is small but very clear. Processor is faster than XDAII!

Cons: going from phonepads to digital keypads takes some getting used to. But once you're familiar, you can text the same way with the T9 system like normal phones.

Pros: Its easy to manage your contact list, fast to locate plus you can put photos, customize ringtones and themes to your favourite contact!

Cons: Lack of inbuilt WIFI but can be used with WIFI card.

Weight: heavier than the typical phone... about 2x heavier than 6610.

Battery life: On a full charge, if you make a few calls a day of about 1hr, send at least 15 SMS, use it to read emails, play a video and a few MP3, snap a few photos... I think you should end up with about 30% battery left per day.

Pros: love the mini-usb cable which can sync and charge at the same time. I'm gonna get those retractable USB cable so I can carry it with me and plug in to any computer for a quick recharge! ;)

Cons: 1.3 megapixel camera but don't find it that clear. Maybe I am too spoilt by good digital cams... ;)

Pros: handsfree is reasonably loud. Love the fact that I can play back .wav files as my ringtones and alerts! I have star trek voices Worf: "Captain... incoming message", Star Wars sounds... R2D2 chirping... wolf howling, police sirens etc! Coool!!!

Cons: The voice recorder functions cuts off when you switch to other applications. You can record and then switch to MS Word... it cuts off!! arrgh!! Found that out too late!

Pros: syncing with outlook means that I no longer forget my appointments and can carry my notes, to do list, microsoft word and excel docs with me too.

Have not tried the bluetooth functions or the stereo earphones for MP3 playback yet... so can't comment.

That's all - a not so quality review from AT ! :P

William, you have to convert them to .wav files.

When converting, you may also want to raise the volume for some of them if you want them to use as alarm tones SO YOU CAN WAKE UP!!!

Actually... I like to also point out that the handsfree volume is not as loud as a Nokia phone. Previously calling Comfort Cab handsfree and now... now I have to strain my ears. Partly because the speaker is facing the back? Definitely a Cons.

Quite easy... there are many converters out there.

Anway, I hear that they already have a hack that allows you to play back mp3 as ringtones... and stored in the storage card as well! :)

sigh ... :(

Thanks anyway.

Conversion of Mp3 to wav files is really a hassle. Currently using O2 xphone2. Regretted, should have gone all out and bought the xda mini. <_<

AT, do let me know if you discover this hack program. Running out of memory space in my phone B)
